Linux Distributions Reaching End of Life

When Linux distributions reach End of Life (EOL), it will no longer be possible to install or upgrade to new versions of Nagios software on them due to the lack of repositories for those EOL versions, as well as lack of Linux distribution support, security, and bug fixes for the customer.

Here is a current list of web sites for Nagios compatible OS distribution lifecycles and what is supported:

• Red Hat Product Life Cycles (Up to and including Maintenance support).
  • Nagios will follow Red Hat product life cycles for Oracle version support.
• CentOS Stream (Up to and including Active Support)
• Debian Releases (Up to and including LTS)
• Ubuntu Lifecycle (Up to and including LTS standard security maintenance for Ubuntu Main)

As you are approaching or have reached the EOL of your Linux distribution and version, it is highly recommended that you perform a migration to a modern version/distribution.
