Nagios Website Time Wizard

The Website Time Plugin enables users to track how long it takes for a website to respond, offering insights into how frequently the site is being visited. The Website Time Wizard simplifies the process by allowing users to select a website and set up the plugin instantly. For more information about the plugin that this wizard will be using, please read about the Website Time Plugin here.
What does this Configuration Wizard look like?
Almost all Configuration Wizards in Nagios XI allow you to select a host and create a hostname, and the Website Time Configuration Wizard is no exception. First, you enter the URL of the website you want to monitor. On the next page, you select the hostname, which will appear in the host list. Then, you can choose which website services to monitor, such as response time.

The Website Time Configuration Wizard goes a step further by allowing you to set up additional services. Building upon the existing Website wizard in Nagios XI, it follows similar steps but adds extra functionality for a more detailed monitoring experience. Specifically, it focuses on tracking the response time of the website.
What Happens After the Wizard is Run?
After running the wizard, a host will be created using the hostname you provided. You can click on the host to view its associated services, including one labeled ‘Check website response time.’ Clicking on this service will show you its current values. Over time, graphs will be generated, offering a visual representation of how the data changes, allowing you to track performance trends and monitor the website’s response behavior more effectively.

Conclusion
After running the Website Time Configuration Wizard, you’ll be ready to monitor the response time of your website along with essential services that come with website monitoring. If you’d like to begin monitoring the website’s response time on your own, you can easily install my wizard by downloading it here.
